The problem
The client wanted swings, channels and pivots drawn from market structure on TradingView, following their own swing logic. Later they needed the same values outside the platform, to store them and chart them on their own side. A port is only useful if the numbers agree, so every value in Python had to match the Pine Script version.
What I built
First the Pine Script indicators on TradingView:
- Swing highs and lows, and fractal highs and lows, from the client’s market-structure logic
- A Donchian channel built on the swings
- Daily, weekly and monthly floor pivots, R1 to R5 and S1 to S5
Then a Python library that reproduces them:
- The same swings, fractals, Donchian channel and pivots, with values that match the Pine Script version
- A data flow that reads from a source table and writes every value as columns to a destination table or CSV
Custom pivot logic using market structure
- FH and FL mark fractal highs and lows.
- SH and SL mark swing highs and lows, joined by the swing lines.
